- Leisure:  Staying active, spending time with family and friends.  Have 3 wonderful cats.

- Why I want this position and how I can contribute:  Working with the Geriatric population and their families is my passion.   The Geriatric population requires special attention that sometimes gets ignored.  Promoting Geriatric awareness and having Advanced Care Planning conversations is important.   I'm hoping to contribute by getting more Nurse Practitioners involved in GAPNA and improving Geriatric awareness.

I was originally on the GNP track before it was changed to A/GNP and graduated from Concordia University in 2013.  I became a nurse in 2000, worked at UW on their Geri/General Med Inpt unit for 1.5 yrs before becoming an Infectious Disease nurse.  In 2008 I came to MCW Plank Road Clinic where I have done phone triage for the past 5 yrs for Internal Medicine.  I also sit on the Board of Directors at Congregational Home. Since graduation, I have worked as an NP in primary care, General Internal Medicine at Plank Road Clinic. I am the current Secretary for SEWGAPN.
