UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Midwife for a job in MADISON, Wisconsin.

Join our growing team of 14 Certified Nurse Midwives providing inpatient obstetric care in Madison, WI. Our midwives see patients and families throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period, and also provide full-scope GYN care including contraceptive care, STI treatment, abnormal uterine bleeding, and preventative GYN care at 5 clinics throughout the Madison area and inpatient care at Unity Point Meriter Hospital. Due to recent growth in our practice, we are looking for a nocturnist midwife who will work exclusively on the night shift alongside a second midwife each shift.

Schedule: 

Inpatient coverage 7:00 PM- 7:00 AM, 3-4 nights per week for total of 10 shifts in 3 weeks. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to:

  • Provide inpatient care to a diverse community of obstetrical patients in triage, labor, birth, and postpartum  
  • Be part of a team who strives to provide outstanding patient- and family- centered care. 
  • Provide clinic coverage on an as needed basis.  

Education:

Minimum - Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery

Licenses and Certifications:

  • RN licenses in State of Wisconsin
  • Nurse Midwife license in State of Wisconsin
  • Advanced Practice Prescriber license in State of Wisconsin
  • Certification from the American College of Nurse Midwifery
